There are several known issues that may occur when using an Avid USB interface (Mbox 2, Mbox 3, Fast Track Solo, Eleven Rack, etc.) with a USB 3.0 port and Windows 7. Therefore, USB 3.0 ports on Windows 7 are not supported.
Although unsupported, the following information may help in cases where USB 3.0 ports are the only option:
Audio Distortion in Windows Media Player
Blue Screen during Windows Media Player playback
Blue Screen when disconnecting from a USB 3.0 Port
- Run Windows Update
- Install the latest drivers for your USB Device from avid.com/drivers
- This issue has specifically been reported on the Dell M6600 when a device is disconnected while Pro Tools is open (in this particular case, driver uninstall and reinstall may be necessary after reboot)
